【 Asian Documentary Film: Role and Opportunity 】

At Asian Culture Station, Chiang Mai
Asian Culture Station is delighted to welcome, Tokyo-based film festival organizer Fujioka Asako to Chiang Mai. On this occasion we would like to invite her to share experience working in the documentary film industry in Japan and Asia for more than 22 years.
For the talk, she will share her insightful knowledge in the documentary film industry, culture and trend in Asia. As her work roles in the documentary film circle are varied, her views and suggestions for the newbies and even the professional filmmakers is fresh and practical. Asian Culture Station would like to encourage documentary filmmakers and those who are interested in working in this arena to join this event.
There will be a film “On the Road: A Document” by Tsuchimoto Noriaki screened during the talk. This is one of the rare masterworks of Japanese cinema. It features the life of taxi driver and the urban landscape of Tokyo in the year 1963.
