This first program of the “Art Writing Workshop” series will feature art appreciation. Anyone interested in art, bloggers, artists and curators who would like to develop skills of art description for agendas, proposals and previews for media are warmly welcome.

Schedule
10:00 – 12:00 Lecture on “Art Appreciation”
12:00 – 13:00 Lunch break
13:00 – 15:00 Workshop on Art Writing, analysis of sample articles, and sharing experience with lecturer

After the workshop, the lecturer will hand out an assignment to participants who would like to further practice and receive advice from the lecturer.

การอบรมการเขียนเกี่ยวกับศิลปะครั้งแรกใน “Art Writing Workshop Series” ว่าด้วยการทำความเข้าใจงานศิลปะ จากการมอง สู่ความหมาย เหมาะสำหรับผู้สนใจงานศิลปะ blogger หรือ ศิลปินและภัณฑารักษ์ ที่ต้องการเขียนบรรยายงานสำหรับเอกสารประกอบนิทรรศการ การเสนอโครงงาน รวมถึงการเขียนแนะนำงานศิลปะในสื่อต่างๆ

กำหนดการ
10:00 – 12:00 การบรรยาย “การดูงานศิลปะและประเมินคุณค่า”
12:00 – 13:00 พักรับประทานอาหารกลางวันร่วมกัน
13:00 – 15:00 อบรมการเขียนบทความศิลปะ วิเคราะห์ตัวอย่าง และแลกเปลี่ยนประสบการณ์กับผู้บรรยาย

ท้ายการบรรยาย มีการบ้านฝึกเขียนบรรยายงานศิลปะ เพื่อรับคำแนะนำจากผู้อบรมต่อไป

ชล เจนประภาพันธ์ จบการศึกษาจากมหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร สาขาวิชาทฤษฎีศิลป์ เขาเคยทดลองเปิดพื้นที่ทางศิลปะให้กับศิลปินรุ่นใหม่ Merz Art space ในย่านบางลำพู กรุงเทพฯ ช่วงปี 2552 และหลังจากได้รับเชิญเข้าร่วมกิจกรรม Brandnew Art Project 2010 เขาจึงได้เริ่มจริงจังกับงานภัณฑารักษ์และการเขียนบทความทางด้านศิลปะมากขึ้น โดยเป็นคอลัมนิสต์ทำงานเขียนประเภทงานข่าวให้กับนิตยสารหลายฉบับและบทปริทรรศน์ในสิ่งพิมพ์ประกอบนิทรรศการ ส่วนงานด้านภัณฑารักษ์ เขาเคยทำงานให้กับ นำทอง แกลเลอรี่ ระหว่างปี 2553 – 2557 หลังจากจบปริญญาโทสาขาสื่อผสมแล้ว เขาก็ผันตัวมาเป็นภัณฑารักษ์อิสระ ทำงานร่วมงานกับศิลปิน นักสะสมงานศิลปะ ในการจัดนิทรรศการต่างๆ อีกมากมาย

Chol Janepraphaphan graduated from Silpakorn University with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, majoring in Art Theory. He, therefore, experimented with the creation of art space titled “Merz Art Space” for young artists, a small gallery in Banglampoo District, 2009. After that he was selected to join the project “Brand New” held by Bangkok University Gallery (BUG) in 2010. It was the turning point of his career, to be a curator and a writer for art articles. He wrote news and reviews for art exhibitions in several magazines and agendas. In 2010 – 2014, Chol began to work as a young curator and worked for Numthong Gallery. He then earned a master’s degree in Mixed-Media Art from Silpakorn University. Currently, he works as a freelance art columnist and a freelance curator.
