หลังจากผลงานศิลปะถูกจัดแสดงแล้ว มันก็ไม่ได้เป็นเพียงวัตถุชิ้นหนึ่งอีกต่อไป กิจกรรมอบรมครั้งนี้จึงมุ่งเน้นให้ผู้เข้าร่วมอบรมสามารถอ่านบริบทของผลงานศิลปะได้ โดยเรียนรู้จากผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านประวัติศาสตร์ศิลป์ Farah Wardani เพื่อทำความเข้าใจความสำคัญและหลักการในการจัดเก็บข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับศิลปะ รวมทั้งวิธีการเขียนถึงศิลปะในทางประวัติศาสตร์ด้วย
เอเชียน คัลเจอร์ สเตชั่น ยินดีนำเสนอกิจกรรมอบรม Art Writing Workshop the Series ครั้งที่ 2 ในหัวข้อ “นักจดหมายเหตุ: การเขียนศิลปะเชิงประวัติศาสตร์” โดยวิทยากร Farah Wardani นักประวัติศาสตร์ศิลป์จาก Indonesian Visual Art Archive (IVAA) และ National Gallery Singapore กิจกรรมดังกล่าวจะจัดขึ้นต่อเนื่องทั้งสองวัน คือ วันอาทิตย์ที่ 6 พฤศจิกายน 2559 ที่ เอเชียน คัลเจอร์ สเตชั่น และวันจันทร์ที่ 7 พฤศจิกายน 2559 ที่ พิพิธภัณฑ์ร่วมสมัยใหม่เอี่ยม

After artworks are exhibited, it’s not only the produced objects by artists anymore. This class will introduce about how we can seek the context of artworks by an experienced art historian, Farah Wardani. She will share with us the importance and principle of archiving art; and the necessary tips and techniques for historical writing.

About lecturer
Farah Wardani (b. Jakarta, 1975), completed her MA in Art History (20th Century) from the Department of Historical & Cultural Studies, Goldsmiths College, London, UK, in 2001. She has been active as a teacher, researcher, writer, curator and art organizer since 2001 in her home country, Indonesia. She is the co-author of a book titled ‘Indonesian Women Artists: The Curtain Opens’ (Indonesian Fine Arts Foundation, 2007. From 2007 to 2015, she was the executive director of IVAA in Yogyakarta, Indonesia and her works include the IVAA Digital Archive http://archive.ivaa-online.org, the first digital archive of contemporary art in the country. She has joined the National Gallery Singapore as the Assistant Director for the Gallery’s Resource Centre since March 2015.
